I became a teacher to be an advocate for my son who is 10 now. He has Sensory ADHD and PTSD from us being DV survivors. I felt the school system was failing him and he wasn't being heard. He gave me the push I needed and I 1st began as a 1 on 1 aide with a child with Epilepsy and delayed speech.

Being recognized by the owner of our daycare. She runs 3 locations in Reno NV ,Sparks and TRIC. She gave me a shout out which all the employees see and it finally just made me feel seen and appreciated.

I am actually working on re doing our whole classroom. The old teacher had it Country Western and believe me I adore Country but this was a hot mess. I am revamping it to Woodland Creatures and re organizing it and trying to get us more storage and new toys and materials.....our overall budget makes it hard to get it done all at once and I just want the kids to come in one Monday morning and see the room completely revamped and up to code but made to feel comfortable and safe
