Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I believe education can change a child's future. I wanted to help and guide my students every day. I love watching them grow, learn new skills, and feel proud of their work. Seeing their confidence build and their smile when they understand something new is why teaching means so much to me.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was when we put on The Lion King play. The students were so excited to act out the story that it motivated them to learn more in all the subjects, especially in my math class. We connected together as a group and enjoyed our time together. Seeing them engaged, confident, and proud of their work showed me how creativity can help students grow both personally and academically.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I had $25,000, I would invest it in my classroom and students. I’d buy learning materials, books, technology, and hands-on tools to make lessons more engaging. I’d also fund creative projects and experiences, like plays or science experiments, that inspire curiosity and help my students grow both academically and personally. Every dollar would go toward making learning meaningful, exciting, and memorable.
