Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I’ve always wanted to help others learn and grow. Teaching allows me to make a difference in students’ lives every day. I love supporting my students, encouraging them to believe in themselves, and helping them reach their full potential. Being a teacher gives me the opportunity to inspire, guide, and positively impact the future.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable moments as a teacher was winning Teacher of the Year this year. It meant so much to be recognized for the work I love doing every day. The best part was celebrating with my students, who were just as excited as I was. Sharing that moment with them reminded me why I became a teacher and how special our classroom community truly is.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the $25,000 for many things, including resources for my students since I work at a Title I school. My goal would be to provide materials and opportunities that help them succeed and feel supported in the classroom. I would also save a small portion so I could take a vacation, recharge, and return refreshed and ready to give my best for the next school year.
