I became a teacher to be the teacher I needed when I was a child. I needed my teachers to see me and give me the confidence that I could do anything I set my mind to.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThere have been so many over the past 25 years. Some of the best are seeing my former students as they grow and do great things. I have students who have become educators, professors, scientists s f so much more.
What would you do with the $25,000?$25,000 I would take my students to the Math Museum in NYC. I would also give my classroom a refresher with some new furniture, new games for brain breaks, add flexible seating choices, and add any classroom materials I could add to enhance my students learning experiences.
