Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I wanted to inspire a love of learning. I chose this path to make a difference — to be the person who helps students believe in themselves, especially when learning feels hard. One of my most meaningful moments was seeing a struggling student finally succeed… and that’s exactly why I do what you do. 💛 I didn’t just want a job. I wanted impact. I wanted growth. I wanted to change lives — one student at a time.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable moments as a teacher was watching a student who had been struggling finally succeed. This was a child who doubted themselves constantly. Every assignment felt overwhelming. There were tears, frustration, and moments when giving up seemed easier than trying again. But we kept working — small groups, extra practice, encouragement, celebrating tiny wins that didn’t seem tiny at all. And then one day, it clicked. I’ll never forget the look on their face!

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won $25,000, I would first help my family and pay off any debt so we could feel more secure and stress-free. Taking that weight off our shoulders would mean everything to me. I would also invest in more resources for my classroom, because as a teacher, nothing makes me happier than seeing my students succeed. Being able to provide them with extra tools and opportunities to grow would truly be a dream come true.
