Tell us why you became a teacher

I believe that it is my calling to help all people reach the best possible person they can become. I want to help others to see the potential they possess. It is through reaching that full potential we can work together to create a community that values each other.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching moment took place during the 8th grade graduation of an autistic student. He handed me a gift and a card with his picture. It said thank you for being a piece of his puzzle. He was my student since first grade and we grew together and he shared his dream with me of opening his own business. I showed him what science he would need to use to become an entrepreneur. We designed a business plan and I look forward to seeing his continued success.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would open a hands on natural science learning center. I would build a place to learn about nature and the careers that science can give them so they can save the world we all live in.
