I became a teacher to share my love of biology and life science. I aspire to be the type of teacher that provides students with a safe space to learn and grow.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was the first day that my first-ever Principles of Biomedical Science class (at our brand new school) completed a heart dissection lab. The students were so excited, we learned so much, and opened the door for our administrators and other teachers to join us and learn from the students!

What would you do with the $25,000?

My classes and I are most excited for the Bill Nye to come to our school! With the money prize, we would definitely throw a party for our academy classes! We would use the remaining funds to purchase new banners/table clothes for the Academy of Biomedical Science and our HOSA chapter, as well as to support our program with the purchase of consumables.
