Tell us why you became a teacher

I am amazing mom and raised three amazing successful scholars, so I am positive God gave me a gift of teaching and I want to be able to share that gife. I have a great passion to assist youths. I have a personal passion for education, and my personal mission is to place emphasis on the value of education by giving a chance to the youths in my surrounding communities, in Atlanta, NYC, and of Antigua and Barbuda, hoping that all youths and students will make a change to our future.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Our Annual Black History Extravaganza at Lovejoy High School is one of my most memorable teaching experience as I am the coach of the event. To sit back and our Scholars speak of their culture and their experience is one of my most joy. Also recently four of our scholars where granted letters of recomandation from Congress man David Scott to apply for the US Airforce Academy. I taught these scholars in 11th grade.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would be able to sponsor students for graduation. Many of our parents struggle financially. I would over joyed to be able to assist with cap and gown, and pay sports fees for some of our athletes that parents cannot afford to do so.
