Tell us why you became a teacher

My dream has always been to be a Librarian. In order to be a librarian I first had to be a classroom teacher for 3 years and earn a Master's Degree in Library Science. I became an Elementary Teacher and then got my Master's to be a Librarian. I love working with kids be it in the classroom or the library. You get to inspire so many kids.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My very first teaching job was a tough assignment. I started in January, it is hard to come in mid year and establish a relationship with my students. I had a tough group. I remember that on my second or third day of teaching I broke down and cried right after the kids left. I was doubting my decision to leave my previous job and become a teacher. A parent walked in to class as I was crying. She just came over and hugged me and assured me everything would be ok.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would do a few improvements my house needs and use some for bills and some for retirement savings.
