Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I enjoy helping others understand new ideas and gain confidence in their abilities. Seeing a student go from struggling with something to finally understanding it is incredibly rewarding. Being able to guide and support students as they grow is what motivated me to become a teacher.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable moments was when a student who usually struggled in class finally succeeded on an assignment they had worked very hard on. They came up to me after class, excited and proud of themselves. Seeing their confidence grow and knowing I helped them believe in themselves was incredibly rewarding.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I received the $25,000, I would use it to help pay bills and support my son, who has cerebral palsy. Caring for a child with special needs comes with many medical and daily living expenses, so the money would help relieve some financial stress and allow me to focus more on giving him the care and support he needs. It would make a meaningful difference for our family.
