Tell us why you became a teacher

As a fifth grader , my teacher sat behind her desk and never came to our desk for help with the assignment! I vowed to become a caring and at hands on teacher! My students would always have my individual Attention for success! No glued to my seat instructions but setting up learning centers for student mobility and fun activities to stimulate learning opportunities! Thankfully, my college professor believed in me and helped me achieve success!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I loved teaching the first grade in Germany and placing photos of all our US Presidents up in the classroom but not one African American among them so I ask God to give us one and He did! The children were reminded to reach for the best possible goals in their endeavors to achieve success!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I want to take care of children who are homeless! Build a state of the art shelter with a community and corporate sponsor program! Get churches and grocery stores to provide food! To whom much is given, more is required!
