Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I believe learning is transformational. I love that teaching requires me to remain a student at heart—continually growing in knowledge, faith, cultural awareness, and understanding. In a world that constantly changes, education keeps me adaptable and grounded in purpose.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable moment of teaching was seeing a child who had struggled all year finally grasp a concept. It felt like witnessing breakthrough and growth in real time. In that moment, I was reminded that seeds planted consistently—with patience and faith—do grow. Teaching isn’t just about content; it’s about nurturing belief and resilience.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If awarded $25,000, I would use the funds to create a vibrant science classroom filled with hands-on materials that spark curiosity and exploration. I would also take my students on a meaningful field trip to bring science to life in the real world. In addition, I would organize a small celebration to honor their effort and remind them that their hard work matters. Every investment would center on increasing engagement, confidence, and opportunity.
