I became a teacher to make a difference and be part of the reason children love coming to school. My kindergarten teacher never gave up on her students and still supports us today. I want to have that same lasting impact—to help my students believe they matter, know they are here for a reason, and never give up on themselves.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching moment is truly every day. Each smile, breakthrough, and “I did it!” reminds me why I teach. Watching students grow in confidence, take risks, and believe in themselves those small, everyday victories are the moments that stay with me the most.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I received the $25,000, I would use it to create meaningful experiences with my husband and children—opportunities I didn’t always have growing up. Making memories together would mean everything to me. I would also invest in my classroom and students, providing resources and experiences that help them grow, feel supported, and love learning even more.
