I’ve always loved teaching, ever since I was younger. I would force my sister to play school with me. Sometimes teachers are the only smile a child sees or the only love a child feels. I always thought my teachers growing up were the coolest people on the planet. They believed in me, loved me and always encouraged me to do my best and I wanted a chance to be that for a child. I hope to be the teacher a child remembers even after college.

Back in 2021 I started my first student teaching experience. It was nothing like I expected. My mentor teacher was not very nice or helpful. She belittled me in front of the kids and made me feel as if teaching wasn’t for me. I took the rest of the semester off and tried again in Winter of 22 and had the best experience ever. My first year teaching was full of challenges and trials, I cried everyday and felt like a failure. Fast forward 5 years later and I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.

I would use some of it on my classroom. Buying new toys & supplies for my preschoolers. I would use some of it on my children to help with college in the future. I would also use some of it to help with bills and things for my family.
