From a young age, I was captivated by the passion and dedication of my teachers. Their ability to make complex ideas accessible and their unwavering support left a lasting impression. Inspired by their impact, I decided to follow in their footsteps, believing that education could transform lives. As an early learning teacher, I strive to create a nurturing environment where students feel valued and encouraged to explore their potential.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I had gathered my lively preschool class for a special surprise. With a playful grin, I explained the concept of a gender reveal. Excitement buzzed in the air as I unveiled the answer from behind the large tally sheet that they had put their guesses on 15 minutes ago. The children gasped, their eyes wide with wonder as the gender was revealed as a baby boy. This joyful moment not only celebrated the new chapter in my life, but made my students feel like they were a big part of it.

What would you do with the $25,000?

As a mom of a lively toddler and a dedicated teacher, the prospect of furthering my education feels exhilarating yet daunting. With $25,000, I'd first invest in a part-time master's program in education, focusing on early childhood development. This would enhance my skills and benefit my students. Next, I’d set aside funds for quality childcare, allowing me to balance study and motherhood. Lastly, I’d allocate some money for resources and materials for my classroom.
