I know what it's like to have a learning disability and become invisible in class. I had a teacher who saw me and for the first time in school, I felt I mattered. I want to be that teacher for my students.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was I first helped a student who was just like me when I was in school, shy and uncertain. He blossomed in my class and found his voice like I did.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would love to expand my sustainability projects by creating vertical gardens in classrooms in my school and beyond. I would also create a scholarship fund for students who want to become sustainably-driven CTE teachers.
