I started college as an accounting major, but quickly realized there was more to life than taxes and an office. I wanted meaningful work that made a difference. Teaching allows me to impact lives every day, helping students discover their strengths, build confidence, and grow into curious, capable individuals. Watching that growth is the greatest reward.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was taking a group of underprivileged students to COSI. Not one of them had ever been to a science museum before. Watching their faces light up as they explored the exhibits and discovered a love for science was unforgettable. Their curiosity, excitement, and endless questions made every moment worthwhile.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I received the $25,000, I would use it to provide high-quality school supplies, updated books, and engaging learning materials for my 2nd grade team. I would also share the support with my wife’s kindergarten classroom at her Title I school, ensuring more students have the tools they need to succeed. Investing in resources means investing directly in children and their futures.
