I became a teacher because I was a child who had several caring teachers who invested in me their love of knowledge, kindness and personal growth as a human being.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was in 2024 when Miss Karrington Childress Miss West Virginia 2023 did her monologue about how teachers inspire and love the students they teach and used me as an example of the love and inspiration that was shown to her when I was her third grade teacher. This love and honor was such a wonderful experience for me as a Veteran educator of 39 years to be recognized by a former student with love and respect.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use some of the funds to repair playground equipment at my school and the rest to take myself and my dear partner on a well deserved vacation.
