Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne day I witnessed a new six year old in the office who was all hooded up. Not willing to show his face. I wanted to scream how did this happen at the early age of six!! I wanted to be his friend and let him know someone cared. He was a first grader who had been tossed around in this harsh world. I was teaching 1st grade at that time and I went to the principal and said, “Don’t put him anywhere else! He goes wherever I go!” Some years latter, when he was 19, he came to see me with a gift!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would ask my students because we are in this together!! My students are very wise!
