Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceA young girl who had experienced significant trauma, came to first grade with limited academic and positive social-emotional experiences. After gaining her trust, we helped her learn social skills, and develop friendships with her peers. When she left us she was on grade level in math, reading and writing as well as winning all of our hearts.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would refurnish my classrooms and donate the rest to the building maintenance fund at my school. My school is about to celebrate 90 years and we have a few plumbing issues that need to be addressed. It is a wonderful stone community school built in 1937 under President Roosevelt’s WPA.
