Tell us why you became a teacher

Teaching has been my dream for as long as I can remember! I want to inspire and support students the way others inspired me. Teaching in my hometown allows me to help children thrive where I once did.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable experiences was helping a struggling reader see the importance of reading and believe in themselves. Watching them gain confidence as they reached a reading goal was emotional and reminded me why I love teaching.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use a portion of the $25,000 to enhance my classroom, providing resources and tools to create a richer learning experience for my students. I would also help children in need with shoes, coats, or other essentials so they can feel confident and cared for. Finally, I would treat my family to a much-needed vacation to thank them for their constant support of my teaching and the long hours I dedicate to my students.
