Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because of the deep passion I have for children and the joy they bring into the world. Watching them grow academically, socially, and emotionally is one of the most rewarding experiences.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable experiences was watching a student grow emotionally over the course of the year. At the beginning, they had very little confidence and would often shut down when faced with challenges or social situations. With consistent encouragement, patience, and a safe classroom environment, they slowly began to open up and take small risks. Over time, that same student transformed into one of the most outgoing and happiest members of the class.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the funds to help build a strong foundation for our brand new school and my first grade classroom. Because our school is new, we are still growing our resources, so I would add flexible seating, classroom library books, STEM exploration centers, and technology.
