I always wanted to be a teacher. For a long time I wasn’t sure if that dream would ever become part of my story. But life has a way of leading you exactly where you’re meant to be. Teaching found me when I least expected it. Just like me, every child has their own story. Some need encouragement, some need patience, and some simply need someone who believes in them. My goal is to make learning a positive experience and help build that confidence.

My most memorable teaching experience is a collection of moments where a student who is struggling at something finally has that AHA! moment because they finally understand. Seeing their confidence boost is such a wonderful and empowering experience. It's a wonderful reminder for myself that this is why I do what I do.

If I won $25,000 I would help support my family. My husband is a veteran and most of the financial weight has fallen on him. I would also like to be able to invest in my children's futures as well. This money could be really beneficial, and I am grateful for the chance to participate.
