Teaching feels like my life’s calling. It’s where my passion lives—guiding, inspiring, and empowering others to discover their potential.

I always wanted to be a teacher. I grew up playing school and love working with kids. In high school I took 2 years of cadet teaching. I love working in low income schools and really making a difference in kids’ lives.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne year I had “the student” and if you’re a teacher you know what I am talking about. This student gave me a run for my money every single day. Most days ended in tears. She refused to do anything, use choice language and wanted to be center of attention even if it was negative. Throughout the year and investing time in her she made a 360. Now she hugs me every time we see each other, I became a mentor to her future teachers and she is invested in her own education now that she is older.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would invest money back into my kids and classroom. I have spent countless money on my students for necessity needs, donating to things and activities they are in, books, and anything they ask. I would love to be able to purchase more books students on for on hand. Books have become so expensive and students deserve to have ones in their hands they are excited about.
