I absolutely love these moment a lightbulb goes off for a student. Teaching through conversation and collaboration is my favorite.

Learn MoreAs a child, my mom babysat teachers' children. I went to school with the teachers whom my mom kept their children. They played a big role in my decision to become a teacher because I saw the impact they made each and every day. In high school, I discovered my love for children and helping them grow. I also had many amazing teachers throughout my years of school who showed passion and love for each and every one of their students. These are the reasons I grew up to become a teacher myself.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience is the fact that I still have former students reach out, see me in public, ect and tell me they love me and share the positive impacts I had on them. Seeing them in their lives striving and having great accomplishments and knowing that I had an impact on their life is by far my most memorable teaching experience.
What would you do with the $25,000?WIth $25,000 I would invest some into my classroom with supplies, STEM activities, and materials to create even more memorable learning experiences with my students. I would also invest some into my family and take them on a memorable trip.
