I became a teacher to empower others through education, language, and compassion. As a multilingual educator, I believe every student deserves to feel seen, heard, and capable. Teaching allows me to nurture confidence, inspire growth, and create a safe space where students can discover their voice and realize their full potential both academically and personally.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching moment was when a once-silent ESL student found the courage to speak in front of the class. Watching their confidence bloom reminded me that teaching is not just about academics, but it’s about giving students a voice, building belief, and witnessing the exact moment they realize their own strength.
What would you do with the $25,000?With $25,000, I would expand my platform Keep Breathing Butterflies by creating mental health resources, bilingual journals, and workshops for students and underserved communities. I would fund outreach programs, provide self-care tools, and build safe spaces where individuals feel seen, supported, and empowered to prioritize their well-being and find their voice.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like America's Favorite Teacher, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
