Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I believe childhood is where confidence, kindness and curiosity begin. I want every child in my room to feel safe, valued and capable of amazing things. Watching children grow, learn and discover who they are is the most meaningful work I could ever do.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable moments was watching a child who struggled with big emotions begin to trust our classroom. With patience, consistency and support he slowly started participating, smiling and connecting with others. The day he proudly joined an activity with his classmates reminded me why teaching matters. Sometimes the biggest victories are the quiet moments of growth.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won $25,000 I would invest in my classroom and my future as an educator. I would create richer learning environments with sensory tools, books and hands on materials that help every child succeed. I would also continue my education so I can better support children and families. Teaching is my passion and this opportunity would help me grow and give even more to my students.
