It brings me so much joy to teach because of the impact I make in students lives. I not only teach them academics but life long lessons.

I became a teacher because I wanted to make a difference in children’s lives the way a teacher made a difference in mine. Growing up in a family where education was not of importance, I knew I wanted to be someone who encourages, supports, and guides other. Being able to help students grow academically and personally is something that I love doing.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable teaching experiences was watching a student who struggled with home life and confidence begin to believe in themselves. At the beginning of the year, the student was very angry and would not participate in class because he said he was told he was "dumb". With encouragement, patience, and tough love his confidence, academics and behavior improved drastically.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I had $25,000, I would save a portion, take care of a few financial obligations, and use some to create memorable experiences with my students (field trips, technology and hands on manipulatives.
