Tell us why you became a teacher

Teaching is in my blood. My Parents were teachers and the passed down the importance of education and involvement on a child’s life. My husband and I did the same for our own kids and then I found the need to continue that message with our future generations

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I have a student who comes from a very Difficult home life and is there fore highly in motivated in school. Over two years I have been working with him, slowly building him up through the exciting world of science helping him to realize he does have what it takes to succeed. The small steps forward he takes each day are why I do this.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use it to stock our science department with specialized chemistry, and physics pieces, In particular new spectroscopes, a high powered telescope, materials for the iodine clock experiment, specialized glassware, new aprons, and storage equipment.
