Tell us why you became a teacher

I became teacher because I wanted to be someone who makes a difference in kid's lives. I want to be like many of the teachers I had growing up. Someone who was always encouraging, caring, and supportive.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I started at teaching in 2022, as a Teacher's Aide at the preschool I currently teach at. I saw a lot of kids because I bounced from classroom to classroom. The next year, I started my residency in Kindergarten and I knew some of the kids from preschool. At the end of the year when I was leaving, one little boy gave me a card from his mom that said, "he was so scared coming to school until you. He came home and said he loves coming now because there's a teacher from my old school."

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the money to benefit the preschool I teach at. Buying more supplies and resources for the teachers, students, and families.
