I love being a part of “the village” that supports kids, loves them and helps them grow. My students are my students always, not only when they are on my roster. Creating a safe space for them to learn, grow, be themselves, laugh and have fun is so important. Let’s be honest, working with kids is fun too .. you just never know what each day will bring you way!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceThat’s tough, there really are so many moments that make the job amazing or make you want to go .. wait, did that just happen!?! Every day is one to remember. One thing that does stand out though is a student that handed me a hand written note and in that note it said .. you always listened when I needed to talk. It’s the moments beyond the curriculum that mean the most!
