I became a teacher to inspire young minds and spark a love for learning. I wanted to make a difference, especially in math and science, helping students believe in themselves and discover their strengths. I chose this path to guide, encourage, and build confidence in every child who walks into my classroom—shaping not just academic success, but brighter futures.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was watching a struggling student finally understand a math concept after weeks of practice. The moment their eyes lit up and they proudly said, “I get it!” reminded me why I teach. Seeing their confidence grow, their grades improve, and their belief in themselves strengthen was more rewarding than any test score. That breakthrough moment will always stay with me.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With the $25,000, I would strengthen my family’s future. I’d pay down bills to create financial peace, start a savings fund for emergencies, and set aside money for retirement, home goals and traveling. I would also invest in professional development to grow in my teaching career. Most importantly, I’d create stability and opportunity, giving my family security today and hope for tomorrow.
