I became a teacher because I’m passionate about helping students succeed—not just academically, but personally. I want every student to feel seen, heard, and supported so they can build confidence and reach their full potential. I also believe learning should be engaging and enjoyable, so I strive to make my classroom a fun, welcoming space where students feel excited to participate and take risks. When students feel safe, empowered, and genuinely enjoy learning, that’s when real growth happens

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was working with students who, at the beginning of the year, didn’t complete their work and often came in with an attitude. Instead of giving up on them, I focused on building real connections. I let them see my fun, relatable side while also staying consistent and firm about expectations. Over time, as they realized I genuinely cared about them and wanted them to succeed, their attitudes began to shift. They became more engaged, started completing

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won $25,000, I would invest it directly back into my classroom by purchasing lab materials and hands-on resources for my students. The school I teach at currently has very limited supplies, and I know how much richer learning can be when students are able to experiment, explore, and engage with real materials.
