I get to be someone who helps kids and families break cycles and seek happiness. ❤️

I became a teacher because I know what it feels like to struggle in a system that doesn’t understand you. My behavior was often judged instead of understood. One teacher changed that and shifted my path. Now, I help students build self-control, understand their choices, and succeed. I also support teachers in responding to behavior with clarity, structure, and intention instead of reaction.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was sitting on a hill with a student in crisis, choosing connection over control. Instead of escalating, I stayed calm and gave space. Over time, he regulated, talked, and returned safely. That moment showed me behavior is communication, and real impact comes from presence, patience, and helping students regain control of themselves.
What would you do with the $25,000?If awarded $25,000, I would create accessible classroom tools and short training videos to support all students, especially those with behavior and self-regulation needs. I would pilot these strategies in schools, gather data, and refine their impact. I would also publish a book to share practical insights with educators and families, expanding support beyond one classroom.
