Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I didn't always have the best home life as a teenager and I had some really great teachers that loved and supported me. I wanted to be that source of love and support for students as well. So many kids lack that at home.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Everything I think about this question another memory comes to mind. In Feb. 2025 we had a guest worship leader come to our school. Although I had sat in church every Wednesday for over a year with this group of young ladies we never truly worshiped Jesus until that day a dam broke in all of us. We were standing in the aisle holding each other crying and pouring it all out. See the sweet pic a coworker snapped of us below.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won the $25,000 I would build a master bathroom Oasis to wind down in at the end of the day. I currently share one small bathroom with my husband and 2 boys. My boys said I have to spend some to take them to Hawaii with me and I promised my middle school group and big pizza party!!!
