Tell us why you became a teacher

Becoming a teacher was not on my radar. The opportunity presented itself and has been a blessing from day one. To Loving every single child I come in contact with. Treating them as if they were my own. Loving them as if they were my own. Sharing with them as if they were my own. I dont just teach in the classroom, I enjoy helping shape the whole community as the PTO President, Softball Coach, Black History Month Program Coordinator. Schools are communities and I enjoy enriching the community.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience is when any of my students have an " a'ha" moment. When all the hard work finally kicks in and the students start flourishing in a particular skill that has been taught repeatedly.

What would you do with the $25,000?

When I win the $25,000, I will invest in my classroom with flexible seating and sensory corner and calming lighting. Invest in my softball program with a batting cage. Add to the savings for my personal children.
