I became a teacher because my mother was a head start teacher. I saw her for 30 years pouring into the lives of the three and four year olds in her care. I was duly inspired to continue her legacy and care for the children in my community.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience has been when one of my scholars returned to thank me for preparing them for the Louisiana state assessment test. This scholar felt prepared and was very grateful for the knowledge, skills, creativity, and sacrifices that were exchanged when in my classroom.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I were to win the $25,000, I would invest in my classroom as I need a class set of headphones, a reading nook of supplies, and I would take my class on a field trip to the illusion museum.
