Learn MoreI became a teacher to make a difference in my students life. Teaching is direct way to make a difference in someone’s life. Helping someone understand something for the first time or helping them believe in themselves is an incredible reward. Teaching isn’t an easy job, but it provides a strong sense of purpose and contribution to someone’s life. I always wanted to be a teacher to make a difference in a child’s life and the outcome has been rewarding.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable teaching experiences in 4th grade math was helping a student who struggled with understanding fractions. At the beginning of the unit, the student was frustrated, lacked confidence, and often shut down during the lesson. No matter how many times the concept was explained using traditional methods, it just wasn’t clicking. I decided to try a different approach by using hands on activities and real world examples. That’s when it clicked for my student.
