I believe all people are teachers, but we as humans need to acknowledge that and develop better habits to know we teach those around us so that why I wanted to learn to be an educator specifically.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceWhen I had dug holes for hours and the next day students spent less time digging up the holes I dug trying to excavate “historic cultural artifacts” for an archeological project to see what archeologists do for a profession. A year later they mentioned that project to me and was one of the more meaningful.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would try to use it to help develop our art programs, many that could use more common art classroom materials. There are some things I buy like gesso that paired with the cardboard I collect create ways to mitigate the cost of canvases for my students so all can have some.
