Teaching 2nd and 3rd grade Special Education allows me to make a difference, nurture growth, and foster joy in learning for my students.

Teaching allows me to profoundly impact students' lives, helping them develop essential skills and independence. As a special education teacher, I create inclusive environments where every student feels valued, fostering confidence and self-esteem. The diverse teaching strategies keep the experience dynamic, while building strong, trusting relationships with students enhances classroom community.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was watching a struggling reader independently decode a multi-syllabic word after weeks of structured practice. Instead of shutting down, he applied the strategies we taught and succeeded. The pride on his face reminded me that small academic victories in special education are powerful, life changing moments.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would allocate $5,000 for advanced SpEd Certifications, $5,000 for professional development workshops and conferences, $10,000 for classroom resources to enhance learning, and $5,000 invested for future growth and financial security.
