Since the age of three, I have wanted to be a teacher. I learned from some of the best who were the greatest to ever do it. My grandmother was a teacher, along with most of my relatives. I was even inspired by many of my teachers who became my mentors and motivators. May heart’s fulfillment is to teach, love and inspire children. It’s my purpose and passion. Every single day, I get up, leave my house, to make a g difference in the life of a child. I am living my dream!

I had the opportunity to teach/coach an ESL student, from Cambodia. I am a high school English and History teacher. Each day, I saw the frustration in his eyes in class. One day, I decided to check out a couple of Dr. Seuss books. I took time and read them to him. Long story short, I worked with him, virtually during the pandemic for 1 full year. When we returned to school, he had to take the Work Keys test graduation. When I saw his passing scores on that test I ran up/down the halls!🙌🏾

If I won the $25,000.00, I would first spend it on my classroom so that my class would be a top tier/model class. This would include a state of the art classroom that offers learning for visual, auditory, kinestic, and demonstrative learners with stations, a self care center for students, clothes closet, a mini library, books, headsets, lounge area for reading, snacking, etc.
