I enjoy teaching four and five year olds. Children this age are beginning to form individual personalities and a sense of humor.

Learn MoreLearning was a struggle for me when I was young. It’s was as if information that I was to learn just wouldn’t sink in. I learn many different ways how to absorb important information. I thought someday when I grew up that O wanted to make learning fun for young children. After all, children will be in school a very long time. You must make their learning foundation strong, fun and memorable. You need to have young children have positive learning experiences. They need to feel confident.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI supported two different children in a fourth grade music class setting with extreme different learning needs. One child was non-verbal. The other child was just socially an introvert. In music I’d get two music books. I would give a book to the introverted child, he’d shove it back to me. So, I would leave next to him. I’d share the other book. I outlined History, made flashcards. The introvert child passed! Next time in music, the introvert child got two music books and gave me one!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would purchase supplies and equipment for the classroom. I would help children less fortunate in my own city that need the basics just to live day to day. To enable children to have to necessary need to go to school. So many children have precursors before setting foot through the school doors. Then if there was some money left, I’d go on a summer vacation.
