I became a teacher because of how much my teachers helped me. I became a special education teacher because I wanted to give a voice to those who didn’t have one. I love helping my students realize they really can do anything.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI had a student who would run away, refuse to participate in class, and would meltdown if he didn’t like something. With lots of time, energy, and modeling that student is now going to all his classes by himself!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use the money to take my family on summer vacation. We take a family trip every year and this money would give us the opportunity to travel further and longer.
