Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I believe education changes lives. Every day, I have the opportunity to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and help students discover their potential. Watching a student understand a new concept or believe in themselves for the first time is incredibly rewarding. Teaching allows me to make a positive impact not only in the classroom but also in their future.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was using a hands-on roller coaster project to help a struggling student. Through building and testing their design, they began to understand the concept and apply the standard. By the end, they proudly presented their project to the class. Watching their confidence grow reminded me that teaching is about helping students believe in their abilities.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won the $25,000, I would invest in classroom supplies and hands-on project materials to give my students the best opportunities regardless of their backgrounds. I would also help my mother and son with some important obligations. Finally, I would take a well-deserved summer vacation to one of my favorite destinations to relax, recharge, and celebrate the hard work I put into teaching.
