Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I believe education has the power to change lives. I wanted to make a positive impact by guiding, supporting, and encouraging students to believe in themselves and their abilities. I am passionate about helping learners grow not only academically but also personally, building their confidence and critical thinking skills. Teaching allows me to create a safe and engaging environment where students feel valued, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was working with a student who struggled academically and had very little confidence in themselves. At the beginning of the year, the student rarely participated and often said, “I can’t do it.” Through consistent encouragement, differentiated support, and small, achievable goals, I began to see growth—not just in skills, but in mindset. What would you do with the $25,000?

If I received the $25,000, I would invest it directly into my students and classroom. I would upgrade instructional materials and technology to create more hands-on, engaging learning experiences, especially for science instruction and inquiry-based activities. I would also purchase high-quality books and intervention resources to support diverse learners and close achievement gaps.
