I became a teacher because I wanted to make a difference. I was very shy growing up and I had a teacher that that helped me become the confident person I am today. I wanted to do the same for other children like myself.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI have had many moments in my teaching journey that were so rewarding. I think one that stands out the most was helping a student discover the joy of reading! To this day this student who is now in high school visits my classroom library!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would like to replace my classroom furniture and because I am so passionate about student led projects, I would build a stem corner in my classroom for students to find their inner potential through discovery and imagination.
