Tell us why you became a teacher

I’ve always wanted to be a teacher since as early as I can remember. I helped my mom with her in home childcare, and when I was old enough I got a job as nanny and then became a teacher aide at the YMCA preschool program. Once I had my own children I homeschooled them, and I am now a preschool/elementary school age teacher at a Christian school and absolutely LOVE my job!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I think the way the children just light up when they learn something new. And of course, when you run into a student years down the road, and they remember all the little things you never thought they would 🥰

What would you do with the $25,000?

I’m at a small non profit school, and we are a work family there. I would share with my coworkers and use it for anything we may need or have wanted and couldn’t afford to do for our school, classes, and children.
