My uncle had a learning disability so he inspired to teach, but not only teach, I wanted to teach the ones who constantly struggle in classes. The ones that are looked over and considered a “behavior problem” because they were a challenge.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable moment was when one of my students who was on my caseload walked across the stage and earned her diploma. She had been in and out of alternative schools, pinned a principal against the wall, and was deemed “unteachable”. We developed a close bond and she trusted me. I did everything in my power to make sure she succeeded and she did!!
What would you do with the $25,000?Since I have been teaching for 28 years I think I “MAY” retire within the next few years, and I would use the money to take my family on a nice trip.
