I was inspired to become a teacher at a young age because of the incredible educators who poured into me and made a lasting impact on my life. Their encouragement, support, and belief in my abilities helped shape who I am today. Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One of my most memorable teaching experiences was watching a group of my leaders become inspired by the book The Buddy Bench and turn that inspiration into real action within our school. After reading and discussing the message of kindness and inclusion, my leaders felt strongly about creating a more welcoming environment for others. They took ownership of their learning by collaborating to develop a proposal to present to our school, advocating for the purchase of a buddy bench for our school

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I had $25,000, I would invest it directly in my students’ growth and—providing engaging resources like books, technology, and hands-on materials while also funding programs that promote kindness, inclusion, and leadership, as well as my professional growth. I have always wanted to attend the National Get Your Teach On Conference. My goal would be to create opportunities that inspire learning, build confidence, and help students make a positive impact in our school and community.
