Tell us why you became a teacher

Coming from a family of teachers (parents, grandparents, + beyond) I always knew I wanted to follow in their footsteps. It means a lot to me to be able to make a difference in my students lives. I feel honored to hold such an important career!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

This is a tough question… the funny? Or the serious? One of the funniest is when I fell out of my chair… not once… but twice. On a more serious note, I am lucky enough to hear from former students whose lives I’ve touched. Knowing that I’ve created a safe space and community for them is more than I could ever ask for.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Well, I would obviously have to treat my class with a pizza / donut party! After that, I’d love to put a lot of the money towards paying off my student debt. Winning the money would significantly help ease the stress of becoming debt free will still surviving the bare minimum.
